U-Know Yunho Screaming for a Fan’s Safety

A video clip of TVXQ at the Taiwanese airport has been a hot issue.

A clip titled ‘U-know Yunho yelling at fans’ was posted on an online community site. TVXQ was visiting Taiwan to film a commercial and were departing for Korea.

TVXQ were running close to their departing time. However, it was difficult for them to take a single step due to all the fans that had showed up. Even the body guards could not stop the crowd. Therefore, U-Know Yunho handled it himself.

U-Know Yunho took his sunglasses off and screamed “Excuse me” towards the fans. At a glance it looked like he was angry but it was actually the best way to get on the plane on time and protect the fans at the same time.

U-Know Yunho was also seen helping a fan up when they fell during the chaos, making sure of the fan’s safety.

Netizens commented, “It’s funny and charming to see him say ‘Excuse me’”, “Nice of him to help a fan up in that hectic situation” and more.

TVXQ will be releasing their new single ‘Still’ in Japan on March 14th.

IU’s Secret to Great School Photos

IU shared a special technique that she uses to look great in school photos.

On February 13th, MBC Feel Good Day documented IU at her graduation ceremony. In this episode, IU’s beautiful graduation photo in her high school yearbook was captured on camera.

Since IU came out exceptionally pretty in her graduation photo, she was asked, “What’s your secret for taking such a great looking graduation photo?” IU replied, “I turned [my chin] slightly away from the camera. I think that’s what made me come out good.”

Meanwhile, IU also shared her feelings about graduating from high school in a separate interview. She said, “I’m a bit sad I couldn’t create much memories with my friends from high school. But now that I’m officially an adult, I’ll be releasing more mature and sophisticated music for my fans.”

On the afternoon of the 9th, IU‘s high school yearbook page was revealed in an online community.  Instead of looking like the pop star that she is, like the photo above from her album, here IU appears more like a student, fresh-faced and innocent with her straight black hair.

Under the section “a word from me too”, she says, “”안녕^*^ 난 아이유야^*^”" which translates to “Hi ^*^ I’m IU^*^”. One tiny tiny statement pretty much sums up her cuteness.

Park Jinyoung revealed his fully equipped car.

Park Jinyoung tweeted, “Wondering how I’ve managed to write songs while filming 5Million Dollar Man, Dream High, Kpop Star? I’ve purchased a new car. This is how I roll,” along with a photo.

JYJ Jaejoong’s Fan Meeting in Turkey

JYJ’s Jaejoong will be holding a fan meeting at Ankara University in Turkey today (February 5th).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) stated the Korean Culture Center invited Jaejoong hoping it will spread Hallyu and contribute to building a stronger relationship between Korea and Turkey.

The fan meeting admissions tickets were sold on the Korean Culture Center homepage in a first come first serve basis for 600 fans which sold out in 30minutes.

Turkey’s Korean Culture Center stated, “More than 2,000 applications were received within couple of hours and we were able to feel the Hallyu heat. People who were unable to get the tickets were also calling the Korean Culture Center and the Korean Embassy for tickets.”

One of Turkey’s biggest newspapers, Milliyet, reported about Jaejoong’s fan meeting and JYJ related articles on the front page.

Korean dramas and Hallyu has been a hit in Turkey since 2005 and about 40,000 fans are active in ‘Korea Fans’ fan club.

BoA’s Success Attributed to Hard Work – Past Video Clips Revealed

Video clips of BoA‘s past as a young trainee and singer was shown on the January 31st airing of SBS‘s “Good Morning.”

On the show that day, the head of SM Entertainment, Lee Soo Man, revealed how he first discovered BoA. He stated, ”(BoA) caught my eye when she followed her older brother to an audition. She was in 5th grade. At the time, I was having trouble finding talented youngsters that have not yet started middle school.”

He continued, “During her 3 years of training, she constantly practiced for 5 hours on weekdays and 10 hours on weekends. At the time, our company didn’t even have 3 billion won (about 3 million dollars), but we invested about a total of 3 billion won into her.”

Afterwards, the show revealed several video clips of a young BoA practicing and answering interview questions. In the interviews, BoA conducted herself in a mature manner, very unlike a young kid. The clips show her saying, “There are a lot of people who think that I am a product that has been well-made.” In another clip, she is seen saying, “I think that depending on how hard I work, there can be different outcomes.”

Many were also interested to see the then 14-year-old BoA state in an interview, “In 10 years, I think that I will have a beautiful family. My dream is to be a good wife and a wise mother.”

SUPRISE ON DREAM HIGH II

Dream High 2, the sequel to popular teen drama series Dream High, aired its much-anticipated first episode earlier today on January 30th. As a pleasant surprise for Dream High fans, the first episode of the new series featured special cameo appearances by the original cast members from season 1, including Kim Soo Hyun (“Samdong”) and IU (“Philsook”).

In Dream High 2, Kim Soo Hyun appeared as an actor who was reenacting the famous bus kiss scene from season 1 of Dream High, with a new character named “Rianne” (played by Jiyeon from T-ara). Following Kim Soo Hyun’s surprise cameo appearance in the beginning of the episode, IU appeared later as the same “Pilsook” character from season 1, who has matured into a famous singer in Dream High 2. VARSHA TURNS TO ACTING

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha is making her debut as an actress.

Narsha will be appearing in the currently running popular MBC drama “Lights and Shadows.”

A member of the drama production crew revealed on January 30th, “Narsha will be appearing in the drama. Her exact role has not yet been determined, but we are currently in the middle of deciding between a variety of characters.“

There’s a large possibility that Narsha’s character will either be a rookie singer or an aspiring singer. On the other hand, she could also be a prominent figure who used to be popular during the 70′s and 80′s.

Previous guest stars on “Lights and Shadows” also include Big Bang‘s Seungri, who played the role of an aspiring singer, and actor Park Joon Gyu, who appeared as a sailor. The special guest appearances have delighted the viewers.

The crew member also mentioned, “We have not yet determined whether or not she will make a one-time special appearance or if she will be a recurring guest star on several episodes.” Thus, it appears that it is possible that Narsha could appear more than once on the drama.

Regarding this matter, a representative from Narsha’s agency stated, “At the earliest, she may begin filming this week. With her appearance on ‘Lights and Shadows,’ she will be trying her hand in acting. We hope that you will be able to see a new side to Narsha,  one that is different from her performing on stage.”
